Tressa Middleton, now 21 years old, finally decided to speak out about a heartbreaking ordeal that happened in her past. She gave birth to a daughter when she was only 12 years old after her older brother raped her. At the time, she decided it was best to give up her baby, Annie, for adoption.
After she gave birth to Annie, Middleton spent many of her early years addicted to drugs and alcohol.
The Scotland native has since turned her life around. She’s grown up to be a well-rounded young lady with a story to tell the world. She recently appeared on ITV’s This Morning talk show to talk about her heartbreaking experience.
Middleton has also written about her experiences in a new book.
The book is titled “Tressa: The 12-Year-Old Mum.” She’s even dedicated the book to her daughter, Annie.
During a touching moment on the show, Middleton said, “I just hope one day she does forgive me.” “I know it’s going to be hard for her when she finds out her uncle is actually her dad.”
She recalls a time in the past when she was able to see her biological brother while she was in foster care.
“I remember one day my foster carers arranged a birthday party for me at McDonald’s and let me see my brother Jason.”
“He was a bit older than me but it was really good seeing him,” she said.
Little did she know at the time, he wound up being the person that would have a traumatic effect on her life.
